    Biography

      Claudia Chiocchini, Staff Scientist R&D, received her PhD in Biochemistry in 2006 from the Phillip Univ of Marburg gaining expertise in protein chemistry and molecular biology. 2006-2007: PostDoc at the LMU (Munich) working on DNA repair mechanism. 2007-2012: Scientist in special manufacturing at GeneArt GmbH. 2012-2014: Scientist in R&D at Life Technologies, since 2015: Staff Scientist in R&D at Thermo Fisher Scientific.During her work in special manufacturing Claudia has improved several gene synthesis production processes and gained experience in design and cloning of large DNA constructs. In her current role as staff scientist in the R&D team she is responsible for new product development and novel synthetic biology applications. Her work as scientific lead in recent product development processes, enabled the launch of Geneart Strings and Geneart Gibson Cloning Kits.
