In the last four years, Mendoza has managed to have a database of genetic profiles for criminal investigation that has been very useful for the administration of justice, substantially accelerating the resolution times of the cases. At the end of 2020, the laboratory had the opportunity to test a RapidHIT ID system. Can turn-around times be shortened even more? Could this new technology be applied to current workflows? Will it be sensitive enough to give results on complex samples? In this conference all the results of the challenges posed to RapidHIT ID will be presented, both due to the origin of the sample, its quality and the amount of biological material, as well as to obtain results in just 90 minutes. Then two real cases will be presented that could be solved in less than 24 hours, speeding up response times even more.
