Dr. Buss obtained her PhD in Microbiology at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville followed by a CDC/APHL Postdoc at The Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health. She completed her Clinical Microbiology Fellowship at The University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Public Health Laboratory. Past roles have also included CLIA Director at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment as well as Laboratory Director at The Wyoming Public Health Laboratory, Wyoming Department of Health. Since 2018, Dr. Buss has been the Clinical and Molecular Microbiology Director at Northern Light Laboratory where she directs microbiology testing in a reference laboratory that serves more than 9 hospitals and 250 outpatient practices.
