    Biography
      Dr. Wu is an Associate professor in Pathology, as well Vice Director of Clinical Laboratory Medicine Center at the Shanghai General Hospital which is affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. He is also a Youth member of Chinese Society of Laboratory Medicine, as well as a Member of Shanghai Medical Association, Molecular Diagnostics Branch, and a Member of Chinese Expert Committee of Experimental Medicine, Pathology Branch.

    Abstract

    Since the outbreak of CoVID-19 in Wuhan, China last December, the medical professional community have accumulated numerous experience that potentially will benefit other regions battling the disease. This session covers epidemiology and biology of SARS-CoV-2, nucleic acid and immunologic tests for SARS-CoV-2, and discharge criteria for recovered patients.

    North American Chinese Clinical Chemists Association

    The North American Chinese Clinical Chemistry Association (NACCCA) is a non-profit organization that currently serves hundreds of clinical chemists, scientists, physicians, and physicians from many different countries.

    This presentation was organized by NACCCA and includes both this presentation and another scientific presentation, as well as a panel discussion. Laboratory methods, positive rate on various specimens, and method validation process will be introduced. The panel forum will focus on specimen collection process and safety for laboratory professionals.
