Dr. Esther Babady, Ph.D., D (ABMM), is the Director of Clinical Operations for the Microbiology Laboratory Service, Director of the CPEP Clinical Microbiology Fellowship program and an associate attending in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer. She received her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and completed a post-doctoral CPEP fellowship in Clinical Microbiology both at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She is board certified by the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM). Her research interest focuses on the development and applications of rapid, molecular diagnostics tests for detection and analysis of pathogens, particularly in immunocompromised hosts. She has published extensively on the subject including peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.
