    Biography
      Andrew Lisowski M.S., HTL (ASCP) is currently the Technical Application Manager at Leica Biosystems, Richmond, Illinois. Andrew has a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from the Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, Illinois. His current role with Leica Biosystems involves histology training and technical training for consumables in histology. He also works on the R&D team for quality and supports of the new product development. Andrew is an author of different publications including, ‘Gene expression analysis in rats treated with experimental acetyl-CoA carboxylase inhibitors suggests interactions with the PPAR alpha pathway', Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, 2007.

    Abstract
    Histology laboratories are complex with multiple steps for quality, efficiency, patient care and workflow. This presentation is to give ideas on how to improve quality in the histology laboratories, how consumables might impact the efficiency in the laboratories, and a discussion on how to possibly deliver a higher confidence in the histology laboratories for patient care. Learning Objectives: Ideas on improving quality through histology will be discuss. An overview of how consumables in the histology laboratory might impact efficiency in the laboratory. A discussion of how to deliver a higher confidence in the histology laboratory for possible patient care will be reviewed.
