    Biography
      Dr. Jessica Wagener is Application Specialist focusing on Cell Handling at Eppendorf Headquarter in Hamburg, Germany. Entering a cell culture laboratory as a graduate student for the first time in 2006, she came to Eppendorf with 5+ years of experience in cell culture. After studying Biology at the Universities of Marburg and Düsseldorf, she investigated apoptosis mechanisms in different cell lines for her diploma thesis. Following one year as Research Associate working with primary cells she started to work towards her PhD with a focus on reproductive biology at the Medical School Essen. She joined Eppendorf in April 2012 shortly after completing her PhD in Biology.

      Biography
        Dr. Nadine Mellies is Application Specialist focusing on Manual Liquid Handling at Eppendorf Headquarter in Hamburg, Germany. She studied Biology at the University of Oldenburg, Germany, investigating visual signal processing in the carp retina in her master thesis. Nadine Mellies holds a PhD in Biology with a focus on male reproductive biology working with mouse and human stem cells at the Institute of Human Genetics Goettingen, Germany. After completing her PhD thesis, she joined Eppendorf in June 2016 with 4+ years of experience in cell culture applications.

      PSCs represent an important tool in a wide range of applications, including basic research, disease modeling, drug discovery, and regenerative medicine. As stem cell cultures are very sensitive and respond to the smallest influence, stable culture conditions are crucial to maintain reliability and reproducibility of experimental data. In this educational webinar we will look at the different cultivation parameters, which can affect the viability and proliferation of PSCs during expansion. Join us to learn more about how to assess the quality of your stem cells and to preserve their pluripotency.
