Abstract
Globally 69 million people worldwide suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) every year and many of them are mild and are ignored. These mild TBIs are not just associated with sports injuries. These can be associated with any day-to-day activities that can lead to but are not limited to accidents fall, Motor Vehicle and road traffic accidents, Physical violence (assault), etc. TBI is the greatest contributor to death and disability globally among all trauma-related injuries and can cause millions in healthcare costs to individual patients and society as a whole.
 
Dr. Marino will review the current state, outline new evaluation tools, discuss recently published research, and provide the importance of Brain Biomarkers and how they will help address unmet needs in the evaluation and assessment of patients suspected of traumatic brain injuries.
