Part I: Scientific Storytelling

This workshop will cover how to craft, organize, and deliver an engaging scientific talk. It will show you how to use various techniques to turn your research presentation into an engaging and repeatable story. Following the presentation, Bri will take notes as each 2017 Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow presents their own Beckman Briefing (lightning talk) to the group. After the workshop, Bri will offer helpful feedback, then meet with each fellow individually to give personalized feedback on how to improve their presentation.
