    Biography
      Anushka Dikshit, Ph.D. is an Application Scientist with Advanced Cell Diagnostics with background in cancer research and immuno-oncology. She is focused on expanding the applications of RNAscope technology for oncology research. Prior to working for ACD, Anushka was involved in identifying novel therapeutic targets for melanoma as a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University. She obtained her doctoral degree from Southern Illinois University, School of Medicine in Molecular Physiology.

    Abstract

    The RNAscope in situ hybridization technology allows high sensitivity, specificity and spatial resolution providing pivotal single-cell gene expression information to gain better insights into the complex and heterogeneous tumor microenvironment. Using the RNAscope technology, it is possible to simultaneously visualize and assess the gene expression of cytokines, chemokines, immune cell markers, tumor cell markers and checkpoint markers within the tumor in order to:

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Understand complex spatial relationship among different cell types within the TME

    2. Profile immune checkpoint markers and other therapeutic targets

    3. Characterize immune cell types and activation states
