Abstract

The CytoFLEX mosaic Spectral Detection Module enables you to upgrade your existing CytoFLEX instrument with full-spectrum cytometry capabilities. The Flow Cytometry Core Facility at Leiden University Medical Center had the opportunity to beta-test a CytoFLEX mosaic-88 coupled to a 6-laser CytoFLEX LX flow cytometer.

In this webinar, we will showcase the capabilities of the CytoFLEX mosaic through data generated from experiments specifically designed to highlight the advantages of spectral cytometry:

  1. We will demonstrate how spectral cytometry enables the discrimination of fluorochromes with highly similar excitation and emission spectra—such as APC and Alexa Fluor 647—and how these combinations can be used effectively in complex panels.
  2. We will show how extracting multiple autofluorescent (AF) signatures from heterogeneous samples enhances data quality and resolution.
  3. We will present how an existing 30-color panel designed for analyzing murine metabolic tissues (OMIP-104) can be successfully transferred to the CytoFLEX mosaic.
  4. We will illustrate how the six side scatter (SSC) detectors on the CytoFLEX mosaic enable label-free identification of distinct cell populations.

Together, these experiments demonstrate the power and flexibility of the CytoFLEX mosaic and how spectral cytometry can advance your research.
