High Viability Cell Sorting for Single-Cell 3' RNA-seq & 10x Genomics Applications

    Biography

      Nicole received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of California, Riverside where gained extensive research experience in viral immunology.  Nicole is also a ASCP board certified Specialist in Cytometry and leads the development of our genomic cell sorting applications.


    Abstract

    NanoCellect will discuss the importance of cell sample preparation in order to obtain good quality sequencing data with 3’ RNA-Seq as well as cell sample preparation in order to obtain optimal sequencing results for 10x Genomics applications. We will review:

    • The challenges in obtaining high quality data for Single-Cell 3’RNA-seq and single cell genomic applications

    • Why low-pressure cell sorting can help preserve cell viability and reduce background noise in    sequencing results

    • How cell sorting can dramatically improve the quality of your sequencing results. We will highlight an example for PBMCs and iPSCs
