Contact tracing
Contact tracing is a public health measure that refers to the process of identifying an individual infected with a disease, then identifying or tracing the people the infected individual has come in contact with. Contact tracing has been an effective method in controlling disease, such as in sexually transmitted diseases. Contact tracing entered the public discourse during the COVID-19 pandemic as many health officials attempted to utilize this measure to combat the pandemic.
