    Amphibians

Amphibians are a taxonomic class of animals. Amphibians are tetrapod indicating that they are four legged. They are also characterized by being vertebrates, meaning they have a backbone, and ectothermic, meaning they rely mostly on the environment for heat. Examples of amphibians include frogs, salamanders, toads, newts, and caecilians.
