Auditory cortex
The auditory cortex is part of the brain that processes information related to the sense of hearing in many vertebrate species including humans. In humans, the auditory cortex is located bilaterally, at the upper side of the temporal lobes. The auditory cortex transmits time and frequency of the inputs passed on from the ear and passes on the information for speech processing.
