    Experimental animals

Experimental animals are non-human animals used in scientific experimentation. Animal models including mice, rats, non-human primates, cats, and dogs can mimic the human system allowing researchers to investigate new interventions. Experimental animals are used to test the safety and efficacy of new therapeutics before testing them in Clinical Trials.
