Flow Virometry
Using flow cytometry to evaluate viral particles is known as flow virometry. Traditional flow cytometry can identify specific molecules on the surface or inside a cell to aid in characterizing cell subtypes. Flow virometry has evolved due to enhancements in flow cytometers and calibration methods allowing for the detection of viruses and viral particles.
