    Immunosuppressant drugs

Immunosuppressant drugs, or immunosuppressants, are medications that reduce the immune response. Many patients who have received bone marrow or organ transplants are prescribed immunosuppressants to reduce the risk of graft rejection. While on immunosuppressants, an individual may be unable to fight infection, making them susceptible to disease.
