Digital droplet polymerase chain reaction (ddPCR) is a laboratory technique used to quantify and replicate nucleic acids, including DNA and RNA. ddPCR is a more accurate method of PCR than traditional methods. Where traditional PCE methods utilize analog measurements which extrapolate nucleic acid measurements, digital PCR methods allow direct quantification.
