    Toxicity studies

Toxicity studies identify the toxic effects of a drug by studying how it impacts cells or organs within the body. Toxicity studies evaluate both cellular damage but also potential impairment of organ function. These studies often evaluate increasing doses of the drug of interest to determine the highest dose which may be administered safely.
