    Valve disease

The human heart consists of four valves responsible for facilitating blood flow throughout the body. Valve diseases occur when one or more of the heart valves isn't functioning properly resulting in disruption of blood flow between the heart and the rest of the body. Symptoms of valve disease can include chest pain, difficulty breathing, lightheadedness, or swelling.
