Get Your Microscopes Ready! Labroots to Host 7th Annual Cell Biology Virtual Event Series on September 20, 2023!

Labroots is thrilled to announce that registration is open for the 7th Annual Event in the Cell Biology Virtual Event Series, which will be held on September 20, 2023. This exciting event is free to attend for everyone and will present speakers from both academia and industry to discuss recent biological research studies, improvements in research methods, and cell research tool progress within the cell biology community. Along with being an audience member for experts throughout the field of cell biology, attendees can also receive continuing education (CE) credits for their participation in the event.

This year’s Cell Biology Virtual Event endorses a plethora of experts and specialists, including Dr. Paolo Neviani, Director and Founder, Extracellular Vesicle Core Children's Hospital, Los Angeles; Dr. Ming Dao, Director and Principal Research Scientist, Nanomechanics Laboratory, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Matthew Flegal, Associate Director, Charles River Laboratories; and Dr. Cristiane Miranda Franca, Research Assistant Professor, Knight Cancer Precision Biofabrication Hub, Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research Center (CEDAR), Department of Oral Rehabilitation and Biosciences, School of Dentistry.

“Extracellular vesicles have a tremendous but still untapped potential for clinical applications, such as liquid biopsy biomarkers and as therapeutics,” said Dr. Paolo Neviani, who is one of the keynote speakers. “As the understanding of these tiny packets of information expands so do the challenges related to their isolation and characterization. The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Extracellular Core was founded to help researchers overcome such challenges and accelerate new discoveries. My lecture about extracellular vesicles on the Labroots’ platform will introduce the audience to this exciting research field.”

Themes for this year’s event include:

  • Fundamentals of Cell Biology

  • Translational and Quantitative Cell Biology

    • Exosomes

  • Spatial Omics

    • Imaging

  • Organ-On-A-Chip Technologies
