The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) each keep track of the conservation statuses of several animal species around the world. Animal conservation isn’t an easy task, especially when issues like climate change, land development, and illegal animal poaching happen on the global scale; nevertheless, it’s a challenge we take on because it’s the right thing to do for our planet.

Several animals face the threat of extinction, and while some are more threatened than others, each animal deserves protection from the dangers that would otherwise kill them off completely.
