Learn About Bioinformatics with the Wellcome Genome Campus

WRITTEN BY: Carmen Leitch

Wellcome Genome Campus is providing a free online course so people can easily learn more about bioinformatics, which can aid in the research of genomic sequences, and the proteins that the genes within encode for. The topics covered in the course can be applied to any organism, although in the course, the study of pathogenicity in microbes will be used as an example of how to use the tools they will outline.

The video is a brief trailer about the course. No special experience is needed to take it and the scientific terminology that's used in the course will be defined. There is also no special software or tool requirement, you just have to register for the course.
