How to incorporate biking into your daily commute

If you're inspired by springtime and Earth Day to make an eco-friendly change in your daily habits, think about biking or using an e-scooter to get to work! Not only will it give you added exercise and time outside, but you can save fuel emissions and transportation and parking costs. While the video above has a bit of satire in the first minute, the rest of the video gives some solid tips for how you can incorporate biking into your routine. For example, here are some things to bear in mind:

1. Invest in saddlebags so that you don't have to show up to work sweaty and with hunched shoulders from carrying a backpack.

2. Bring deodorant and wipes for your arrival to work and a snack for your ride home. 

3. Incentivize your habit by allocating the transportation costs that you're saving every month to try a fun new activity!
