TRAINING TWO INFORMATION

Quality Management Principles for Rigorous Biocontainment Research

When: June 4, 2025 at 9:00 am
Duration: 4 hours
Registration: $225

Is Quality Assurance an afterthought in your biocontainment space?

While regulatory compliance is crucial, true safety and effectiveness hinge on a robust, risk-based quality assurance system. When the requirement to conform with a regulatory quality standard is lacking, quality assurance is often an overlooked component in biocontainment spaces.

Quality assurance is not just about conformance to a set of regulations and rather serves as a fundamental component of a truly safe and effective biorisk management system. This course will provide an overview of how to effectively structure and build quality assurance into your biocontainment program.

In this course, you will discover how to:

  • Strategically integrate quality assurance into your biocontainment program using a risk-based approach.

  • Minimize resource expenditure while maximizing the benefits of a strong quality framework.

  • Understand why a lack of quality is a cost you can't afford.

  • Implement ongoing continual improvement initiatives driven by quality principles which are the cornerstone of resilient biocontainment operations.

This insightful training opportunity will be led by Carys Kenway, MS, CMQ/OE, CQE, CAPM, Assistant Director of Quality Assurance at Tulane University.

Bonus Resource for all registrants

As an added benefit, all registrants for this training session will also receive complimentary access to the on-demand recording of Training One: Building Blocks for Success: Building a Strong Foundation for Your BSL-3 Biocontainment Operations.
