DATE: February 26, 2020
TIME: 9:00am PST
Abstract
3D cell culture and analysis and the study of organoids and spheroids are becoming more prevalent as a research method in publications, as traditional 2D cell cultures lack the organizational complexity and longevity needed to serve as effective models.

3D cell cultures allow for more physiologically realistic testing models, and as research techniques and applications are refined and optimized, the use of 3D cell culture, organoids, and spheroids in research areas such as disease modeling and regenerative medicine are becoming more useful.

In this webinar, we will present data on different approaches to 3D hepatic biology research and how to transition into 3D using different liver cell/tissue types.

We will cover the use of HepaRG, Kupffer, and co-cultures as well as primary hepatocytes in 3D modeling and present data on:

1.  The creation of hepatic spheroids from primary hepatocytes and how to measure
  • Gene Expression
  • Basic CYP activity
  • Drug dosing
  • and more
2. Use of HepaRG in 3D modeling for quicker culture formations, consistent modeling, and reproducible results.

3. Forming animal hepatic spheroids and the advantages of using 3D spheroids over 2D cultures.

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.

LabRoots is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. By attending this webinar, you can earn 1 Continuing Education credit once you have viewed the webinar in its entirety.
