      Dr. Chandra, is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Genomic and Clinical Pathology Services at PathGroup. Dr. Chandra holds board certifications in anatomic and clinical pathology, hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology. He completed his AP/CP training and fellowships in hematopathology, oncologic pathology and molecular pathology at NYU Langone Medical Center and the University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center. While at MD Anderson, he served as Chief Fellow and received numerous awards for his research on translocation t(9;11) associated acute myeloid leukemia. Dr. Chandra joined PathGroup in 2011 as Associate Medical Director of Molecular Pathology and became Director in March of 2013. He has presented numerous abstracts and platform presentations at various pathology meetings, published articles in peer-reviewed journals and composed a book chapter on cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. Dr. Chandra is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, Association of Molecular Pathology where he also serves on the Economic Affairs Committee and Clinical Practice Committee. Dr. Chandra also serves on the Personalized Healthcare Committee through the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Chandra is a medical consultant in molecular pathology and personalized medicine and is considered a national thought leader in Precision Oncology and Cancer Genomics.


    Genomic profiling in various cancers has become standard of care today.  Dr. Chandra will discuss the challenges and opportunities of precision oncology testing in community practice and will highlight key learning objectives through case studies.
