Abstract
Presented in the Channel: Breakouts. We will present the challenges in analyzing skeletal remains for the Identification of Missing Persons (MPI), especially those of long standing. We will discuss the applied methods, solutions and recommendations that influence the quality of genotyping bone samples. Examples of the impact of the number of victims on the processing, the statistical value of the match and the identification of missing persons in the context of different episodes will be presented. EAAF's experience in different MPI projects will be highlighted.
