The product is an adeno-associated virus type 2 (AAV2) vector containing the insertion of Cyp19a1 gene. The gene is a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase that catalyzes the conversion of C19 androgens, androst-4-ene-3,17-dione (androstenedione) and testosterone to the C18 estrogens, estrone and estradiol, respectively. The product is suitable for stable overexpression of exogenous gene in various types of cells and can be used in gene therapy research and development.
