MMP-2 (2C1) FITC | Santa Cruz Biotechnology

mouse monoclonal IgG1; MMP-2 Antibody (2C1) is an IgG1 κ mouse monoclonal MMP-2 antibody (also designated MMP-2 antibody) that detects the MMP-2 protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and IF. MMP-2 Antibody (2C1) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-MMP-2 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-MMP-2 antibody, including agarose, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are a family of peptidase enzymes responsible for the degradation of extracellular matrix components, including collagen, gelatin, Fibronectin, Laminin and proteoglycan. Transcription of MMP genes is differentially activated by phorbol ester, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB). MMP catalysis requires both calcium and zinc. MMP-2 (also designated type IV collagenase) cleaves collagen types IV, V, VII and X and gelatin type I. Activation of MMP-2 secretion requires the Ras signaling pathway.
