    Alternative Cure

Alternative medicine describes medication or health care practices that are used instead of standard treatment. An example of an alternative medicine is starting a special diet to treat cancer instead of standard of care drugs like chemotherapy. While research into alternative medicines is typically less robust than with standard medicine, it may prove efficacious in some cases leading to a cure.
