    Plankton

Plankton are plants and animals the live in water but are unable to propel themselves and therefore are only moved by the power generated from tides and currents. Many planters provide food for aquatic animals. Plankton of the plant variety are referred to as phytoplankton and those that are animals are called zooplankton.
