The ART Of Conception

WRITTEN BY: Liat Ben-Senior

Infertility is “a disease of the reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of trying to conceive".
Infertility is more common than you think, in fact, 1 in 8 people of reproductive age is struggling with infertility and will need an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) intervention. IVF is by far the most commonly used form of ART. The IVF revolution started 40 years ago and gives hope to many struggling with infertility. Since then it is estimated that 8 million babies were born through IVF and there are 400,000 IVF births every year. Check the infographic below to learn more about the causes of infertility and the different ART options available.
