World Autism Awareness Day

WRITTEN BY: Liat Ben-Senior

Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are general terms for a wide range of brain development disorders characterized by social impairments, communication difficulties, and repetitive behaviors. According to the Centers for disease control and prevention (CDC), 1 in 59 children will be diagnosed with ASD. Although ASD is common, there are still many misconceptions around what causes Autism, including the debunked study claiming vaccines cause Autism by Dr. Andrew Wakefield.  Although the study was retracted and Dr. Vakefiled was discredited, many anti-vaccination activists still believe it is true.

In honor of World Autism day that is recognized internationally on April 2nd, we created this infographic in for raising awareness of Autism.
