Medicinal cannabis strain suggestions for sleep assistance

WRITTEN BY: Mauri Brueggeman

Good sleep eludes many people despite how important we know it is to our health, energy, and overall wellness. Medical cannabis may be able to help you if you suffer from sleep disorders or insomnia. For some, it can have fewer side effects than more traditional sleep aids. Multiple studies published in the recent past have shown the effects of cannabinoids on sleep disorders. Marijuana has actually been used to treat insomnia as far back as the 19th century in the US, even further back across the globe, prior to the stigma and laws associated with marijuana. Considering this option should be something discussed with a medical professional to be sure the symptom causing sleep disruption can be mitigated with medical marijuana.

Here is a video that outlines a handful of cannabis strains specific for aiding in sleep.
