Shannon Coleman holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Colorado and an M.S. in Chemistry from Emory University. He is currently a GC Application Scientist at Agilent. He has been working with multidimensional and valve gas chromatography across various industries for the past 20 years. He supports Agilent’s North America Field Organization and spends his time consulting with and delivering educational content on understanding the fundamentals of chromatography and understanding complex gas chromatography analysis to Agilent’s customers.
Graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Chemistry Bachelor of Science degree. Twenty – five years of Spectroscopy experience mainly Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) Spectroscopy as well as ICP-MS and AAS. Experience also includes X-Ray Fluorescence (ED, WD), Laser Ablation, Inorganic Speciation and Microwave Plasma Spectroscopy. Market Segment expertise includes environmental, petrochemical, metallurgical applications.
Yan received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington. She joined Agilent Technologies as an Application Scientist in the Life Science and Chemical Analysis team in April 2020. Yan has extensive experience in operating and method development in ICP-MS. Yan also has years of experience working in the oil and gas industry.
Before joining Agilent in April of 2016, he worked for Bureau Veritas as Director of Technical Service, supporting the U.S., Canada, and Northern Latin America region for 12 years. His 30+ years of experience includes petroleum and petrochemical product methods development. He has developed numerous GC, HPLC, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, 2D-GC-MS, online GC analyzer, and analyzer sampling systems. George has served as chairman of ASTM Subcommittee D02.D for over 14 years. He also serves on the U.S. American National Standards Institute Technical Advisory Group, as a designated expert for ISO Technical Committee 28.
Bryan White is a product specialist for GC/MS at Agilent Technologies. With over quarter of a century's experience in both chemical industry and Instrument manufacturing, Bryan has been with Agilent for the last 4 years. With 30 years of experience building and delivering analytical solutions and automated analysers to laboratories in many regulated industries have given Bryan a unique view of problem solving the most complex analytical issues with simple, easy to implement answers.
With 10 years of laboratory experience and 15 years in the analytical instrumentation industry, Mr. Barboni is part of a team of Agilent’s Gas Chromatography Marketing group and is the Product Manager for Agilent GC Analyzers.
Jim McCurry is a senior applications chemist specializing in analytical chemistry measurements using gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS). His current work is in multidimensional GC, trace analysis in complex matrices, and fast GC, and GC/MS. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM). Jim holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Lehigh University.
Dr. Daniel Oppedisano is an Atomic Spectroscopy Applications Chemist for Agilent Technologies. He is based in the Spectroscopy Technology Innovation Centre in Melbourne Australia. He is a recent PhD graduate in the field of electrochemistry from RMIT University, Melbourne, where he was involved in fabrication of precious metal materials.
Coming from an academia background has exposed Daniel to a number of projects including bauxite/alumina, environmental sludges and precious metals analysis.
Jenny Nelson received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati in 2007, and her MBA from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2011. Currently, Jenny is an Application Chemist for the Life Science and Chemical Analysis team at Agilent Technologies, joining in 2012 (with a step away in 2019). Jenny is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Viticulture and Enology at University of California, Davis since 2013. Jenny has been very active with AOAC and ASTM over the past 8 years, serving on expert review panels, chairing committees, and volunteering to develop new methods needed by the industry. Jenny has extensive experience in operating and method development for Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). Jenny has broad knowledge and experience in different speciation analysis for many sample matrices using GC-ICPMS, LC-ICPMS. As well as vast experience with sp-ICP-MS, for many applications.
Freek started working in 1982 in the Netherlands Cancer Institute. In 1990 he moved over to Perkin Elmer where he specialized in CDS client/server and LIMS. In 2000 he moved to Scientific Software Inc, in 2005 incorporated by Agilent, where he worked on LIMS, SDMS and CDS client/server. Today he supports a team of Product Specialists in Europe.
Ken Brady is GC/MS Program Manager in EMEA at Agilent.
Over 25 years in the chemical industry, Ken worked in pharma, government and agrochemical industries.
Since joining Agilent a decade ago, Ken has filled technical, sales and marketing roles specialising in precision quantitation of small molecules and the food and environmental industries.
