    Biography
      Karen Carroll, MD trained in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology. Currently, she is Professor of Pathology and the Director of the Division of Medical Microbiology at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Medicine. Dr. Carroll's focused areas of clinical research at JHU have been in the areas of epidemiology and diagnosis of healthcare associated infections, especially C difficile infections.

      Biography
        Masako Mizusawa, MD, PhD, MS, completed a medical microbiology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University in 2017 and currently works at University of Missouri Kansas City as a microbiology laboratory consultant, an infectious disease physician and a director of antimicrobial stewardship.
