    Biography
Dr. Williams is a Senior Bioinformatician at Omicsoft. Her responsibilities include product development as well as customer relations for Qiagen's DiseaseLand, GeneticsLand, and OncoLand products. Prior to OmicSoft, Dr. Williams was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. She did her post-doctoral training at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, where she used genetics and genomics to study how transcriptional responses are fine-tuned for proper innate immune responsiveness. She also received her PhD in Molecular Genetics at the University of North Carolina and has a BS in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University.

    Abstract

DiseaseLand is an integrated genomics database and visualization software that helps researchers explore 1000s of public and private datasets covering, but not limited to therapeutic areas such as Asthma/Respiratory Diseases, Arthritis, COPD, IBD, Psoriasis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and immune oncology. In this virtual conference, Dr. Williams will present an overview of the DiseaseLand database and then explore how users can leverage its knowledge for biomarker discovery and target validation.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. What are OmicSoft Lands and how can I use them in my own research
    2. Various methods used to process data
