Abstract

The toxicological testing market is no stranger to the principle of the three Rs of research: replacement, reduction, and refinement. With that to guide us, we will review ways to fulfill these requirements in the context of genetic toxicology testing, and as applicable to the drug development and discovery processes.

In this presentation, Miltenyi Biotec and Litron Laboratories will review semi-automated products and procedures. These combine instrumentation and kits for in vitro micronucleus assessment and additional flow cytometry-based kits for evaluating multiple endpoints of DNA damage response pathways. In this we deliver comprehensive information about the status of a potential compound and its mode of action. Simultaneously, the use of in vitro assays, miniaturization with plate-based set up, and multi-endpoint assays deliver content-rich analyses whilst keeping to the three Rs.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand current in vitro approaches to genotoxicity assessment
  • Ensuring optimal data acquisition with automated and standardized Express Modes
  • Fulfillment of the three Rs of research in the context of genetic toxicology testing
  • Review benefits of high throughput/high content sample analysis

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
