Over the past several decades, pharmaceutical companies have developed increasingly therapeutic drugs. Today, handling of highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) within these therapies is commonplace for many in the pharmaceutical research and production settings. Understanding the risks of powder handling procedures has never been more important to ensure operator safety. In this webinar we will discuss methods for quantifying the risks associated with handling of potent and highly potent APIs, understand the importance of occupational exposure limits (OELs) and occupational exposure bands (OEBs), and identify solutions that protect users from exposure.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the risks associated with handling of potent compounds.
- Understand the relationships between OELs and OEBs.
- Understand the importance of an industrial hygienist.
- Understand which products are appropriate for containing potent compounds.
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
