          Biography

Arcillia Miller is an entrepreneur, author and self-described “Herb Hypothesizer. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in Business and Multimedia. Although she travelled extensively, supporting her husband during his military career, family has always been an important part of her motivation.

She is committed to the belief that legalizing medical marijuana would lead to protection for patients who could benefit from its use. Unfortunately, because the plant has been demonized through deep rooted misconceptions, she has focused her energy on education as the key to dispelling misunderstanding. Motivated by this principle, she co-founded Cannabis Education Advocacy Symposium and Expo (C.E.A.S.E.), whose mission was to increase awareness and educate Oklahoma consumers about the medical and economic benefits of cannabis. The result was Oklahoma’s first ever, Cannabis conference which fueled a drive for industry across the state of Oklahoma.

Continuing her desire to advocate for cannabis education, she currently serves as Project Coordinator of Oklahoma Women Cann Association, Co-Director of Social Equity and Director of Education for the OK4U Approved Organization.

          Abstract

Laws enforcing the prohibition of cannabis have unjustly harmed people of color for nearly a century. As a result, the regulated cannabis industry has a duty to advocate for legalization that effectively increases business opportunities for people of color. This panel will explore innovative solutions for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion to achieve social justice. The panelists will also discuss barriers to achieving social justice and how elected officials can help the industry overcome them.
