    Kidney stones

Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form inside your kidneys. They can be caused by diet, obesity, certain medical conditions, and some medications. Getting rid of kidney stones is usually done by passing them through the urinary tract, which can be quite painful, though surgery can also be performed if necessary.
