    Regulation of translation

Translation is the biological process during which information encoded in mRNA is relayed resulting in a string of amino acids that make up a protein. Regulation of translation ensures the level of protein synthesized from mRNA is adequate to maintain homeostasis within the cell. Translational regulation both the type of protein and amount of protein synthesized from mRNA.
