    Scale-down

In pharmaceutical sciences, a scale-down refers to processes that support manufacturing regulation. When a parameter needed for pharmaceutical development falls out of range, a scale-down is implemented to keep production on course. Good controls indicating when a point of failure may occur are needed to indicate when a scale-down should be implemented.
