    Cancer surgery

Cancer surgeries are a type of cancer treatment that can be curative for some patients. Operations are performed to remove a tumor and, in some cases, surrounding non-cancerous tissue. Cancer surgeries are performed by medical professionals known as surgical oncologists who are typically trained to specialize in surgical removal of cancer at a specific site in the body.
