    Ebola virus

The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) is a disease that can develop in humans and nonhuman primates. EVD is transmitted through direct contact with an infected animal or another infected person, including contact with bodily fluids or tissue. While EVD is rare it can be deadly, and most outbreaks occur in Africa.
