    Expanded Access

Expanded access, also known as compassionate use, provides treatment options for patients with life-threatening diseases. When a patient's condition is so serious that no therapeutic options are available and the patient is not eligible for any clinical trials, expanded access allows the patient to qualify for investigational products, such as drugs or medical devices, which are not otherwise approved for use.
