Oral cancer genomics
Oral cancers include those that impact the oral cavity, including the mouth, tongue, gums, and lips. Genomic studies have been used to understand genetic changes that occur when cancer is developed or when it grows. The cancer genome atlas (TCGA) included head and neck squamous cell carcinomas, and a majority of these cases were from oral cancer patients.
