  • Raffeal Bennett, PhD
    Postdoctoral Fellow at Merck & Co.
    Biography
      Raffeal Bennett received his B.S. from Louisiana State University and performed his graduate studies at the Ohio State University. He earned his M.S. in battery electrochemistry under Dr. Anne C. Co and his Ph.D. in enhanced fluidity liquid chromatography from Dr. Susan V. Olesik. Raffeal is a postdoctoral fellow at Merck, previously mentored by Mirlinda Biba, and currently working for Erik L. Regalado. At Merck, he continues to explore the potential of innovative analytical and preparative technologies to enable the development of new drug substances.
    • Frank Delaglio, PhD
      Principal Investigator, National Institute of Standards and Technology Institute Fellow, Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research, University of Maryland
      Biography
        Frank Delaglio is a Principal Investigator at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, developing computational methods and software for NMR-based structural biology and characterization of protein therapeutics. His career includes commercial software development, extensive pharma consulting, and he serves regularly as an advanced course instructor for the European Molecular Biology Organization. In the NMR community, he is best known as developer of the NMRPipe software system, which has been cited 12,000 times, and has been used to help generate over 40% of the NMR structures ever deposited in the PDB, Frank earned a BA in Chemistry from Syracuse University, and a PhD from the Osaka University Graduate Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
      • Zacariah Hildenbrand, PhD
        CTO, ZED Therapeuti
        Biography
          Zacariah L. Hildenbrand received his bachelors of science and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he also played on the men's intercollegiate golf team. Dr. Hildenbrand continued his training as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he worked on novel therapies for the treatment of blood-borne cancers. Dr. Hildenbrand is the Chief Technical Officer of ZED Therapeutics, and sits on the scientific advisory board of the Collaborative Laboratories for Environmental Analysis and Remediation at the University of Texas at Arlington, and is a director of the Light Engines Design Corporation (OTC:TLED). Dr. Hildenbrand also sits on the Editorial Advisory Board of Cannabis Science and Technology. Dr. Hildenbrand's research has produced more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and textbook chapters, and was nominated for the 2016 Humanity in Science Award, which recognizes scientists for their altruism and innovation. Dr. Hildenbrand is focused on educating the general public about the scientific merits of hemp, as well as developing new innovations with hemp-based therapies. Dr. Hildenbrand enjoys new research challenges that carry deep social significance and he is driven to provide solutions and find more efficient treatments for those struggling with illness.
        • Dan Li, PhD
          Application Scientist at Restek
          Biography
            Dan Li is an Application Scientist at Restek. She received her PhD degree in analytical chemistry under the supervision of Professor Milton Lee at Brigham Young University. Her work focuses on pharmaceutical, food, and environmental applications using LC-MS and GC-MS. She was working at Covance performing bioanalytical method development and validation before she joined Restek in 2015.
          • Claude Mallet, PhD
            Senior Scientist, Waters Corporation
            Biography
              Dr. Mallet is originally from a small town named "Dieppe" in the province of New-Brunswick, Canada. The town was renamed in 1946 to commemorate the Canadian soldiers for their bravery during World War II operation Jubilee, also known as "the Dieppe Raid of 1942", on Normandy Beaches, France. In 1997, Dr. Mallet received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from University of Montreal, Montreal, Canada. His thesis was entitled "Time-Coupled-timed-Resolved Chromatography". This new hyphenated system was based on an experimental GC/GC/MS/MS orthogonal chromatograph using a mobile heated pulse, leading to the concept of Pulse Elution Chromatography. In 1997-2000, Dr. Mallet was hired as a senior application chemist in several biotechs, contract research organizations (CRO's) and life-science firms, before accepting a senior scientist's position at Waters Corporation in 2000. From his doctoral work, the technique was extended to Waters Liquid Chromatography portfolio. Since 2013, Dr. Mallet was tasked by Waters Separation Technology Division to purse research interest in automated 2D & 3D LC/MS/MS technologies.
            • K. Wade Elliott, PhD
              Research Chemist, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research
              Biography
                I received a PhD in biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire in 2018 studying biophysical properties of proteins using NMR spectroscopy. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology developing analytical NMR spectroscopy methods for assessing the higher order structure of protein therapeutics.

              Virtual poster sessions offer the opportunity to present data to a global audience via a PDF poster and video summary, and discuss results with interested colleagues through email. Posters should be submitted as a PowerPoint file. Presentations should incorporate illustrative materials such as tables, graphs, photographs, and large-print text. This content is not peer-reviewed. Submission is free.

              • Abstract describing the poster


              All submitted abstracts will be reviewed and decisions regarding acceptance will be made as abstracts are received. You will be notified within one week of receipt about acceptance. Further details and registration materials will be provided at that time. You do not have to be present in order to have a poster displayed. Only those abstracts approved by LabRoots may display posters at this event.

              If accepted, you will also have the opportunity to record a 3-5 minute summary video for each poster. LabRoots will work with each individual to create these videos. Video links and email contact information will be included on each poster displayed.
